Injuries: Colby Lewis to throw from 135 feet

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Texas Rangers starter Colby Lewis is scheduled to throw from 135 feet Saturday after making three sessions from 120 feet. It's another step closer to throwing off a mound.

Lewis said he'll throw from 135 feet for three days (Saturday, Monday, Wednesday) and then go up to 150 feet for three sessions before getting on a mound. It means that if he has no setbacks, he'd be ready to make his first throws off a mound around March 1.

Other injury news:

* Joakim Soria had a 20-pitch bullpen Friday with no issues. He's scheduled to throw Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

* Roman Mendez long-tossed from 120 feet Friday.

* Justin Miller will increase his bullpen session to 20 pitches Saturday.
