Mavs coach Johnson fined $25K for arguing with referee

NEW YORK -- Dallas Mavericks coach Avery Johnson was fined
$25,000 Monday for his actions during a game against the Indiana
Pacers last week.

Johnson was cited for failing to leave the court in a timely
manner and for verbal abuse of a game official, said Stu Jackson,
NBA executive VP of basketball operations, in a release.

Johnson was ejected with 8:34 remaining in the fourth quarter of
the Mavericks' 111-107 loss at Indiana on Nov. 23 after picking up
two technical fouls for arguing with referee Bennett Salvatore over
a foul call.
