After struggling in the first 45 minutes, PSV would respond after the break, finding an equaliser through Sano, whose quick shot deflected onto the post, eventually going into the net. Forbs was a constant threat for Brugge throughout the night, using his pace to fly forward. He would use this to find the winner, being set free inside the opposition half, closing down Kovar before slotting it past him to find Brugge’s second goal. PSV couldn’t take their chances to get level, resulting in a 2.88 xG, with Brugge managing 1.73. Up next for PSV is a tough trip to Spain, where they will take on Real Madrid.
