Stephenson-Moore scores 27 in Stony Brook's 79-64 victory against Elon
ELON, N.C. -- — Tyler Stephenson-Moore scored 27 points as Stony Brook beat Elon 79-64 on Thursday night.
Stephenson-Moore also contributed six rebounds for the Seawolves (13-11, 6-5 Coastal Athletic Association). Aaron Clarke scored 22 points and added seven assists. Dean Noll was 5 of 9 shooting (4 for 7 from 3-point range) to finish with 14 points.
TK Simpkins led the Phoenix (10-14, 3-8) in scoring, finishing with 15 points and 10 assists. Sam Sherry added 15 points and two blocks for Elon. In addition, Max Mackinnon finished with seven points.
Stony Brook took the lead with 17:30 left in the first half and did not relinquish it. The score was 35-27 at halftime, with Stephenson-Moore racking up 12 points. Stephenson-Moore scored 15 points in the second half.
