C Palace v Liverpool

Liverpool have won just two of their last 10 Premier League games against sides starting with a back three/five formation (D5, L3), including none of their last four away from home (D2, L2) since beating Burnley 1-0 in September 2025. The visitors have made a decent start to this one so far, though.

CHANCE FOR MAC ALLISTER!! Palace concede another free-kick around their penalty area, which Szoboszlai takes with a wicked inswinging cross from the left. It finds the head of Mac Allister too, but the Argentinian isn't quite able to squeeze his header inside the near post, and instead only finds the side netting. Palace need to stop conceding so many fouls in dangerous areas, otherwise it's going to cost them.

BARCOLA WANTS A PENALTY!! The Frenchman is claiming he was pushed by Mingueza as both rose to meet Gakpo's cross, but the referee is having none of it. That's probably the right decision - there was contact, but certainly not enough to send Barcola tumbling to the floor.

Liverpool get the ball in the box again as Disasi's penalised for a shove on Isak on the right. Szoboszlai then whips in an inviting inswinging cross from the free-kick, but it's Lerma who gets his head to it first before Mingueza fully clears at the back post.

It's been a really hectic start to this one. Both sides look threatening when they get forward.

GOLDEN CHANCE FOR PALACE!! The hosts have been under the cosh so far, but go close themselves at the other end as Mitchell's fizzing cross finds the left heel of Strand Larsen. He isn't quite able to hook it towards goal, though, and Araujo thrashes the ball clear. Liverpool also go on to survive the resulting corner, but that was a decent chance for Palace...
