Raith v Alloa
Craigen strike sparks Raith win
Three second-half strikes gave Raith a 3-0 win over Alloa in the Ladbrokes Scottish Championship. Geoff Mitchell missed a good chance for the visitors inside 40 seconds before Raith's Ross Callachan pulled a good chance wide after 10 minutes. Raith's Craig Wighton and Jason Thomson failed to capitalise on good openings in a goalless first half, where Alloa's Michael Duffy forced goalkeeper David Crawford into making a good save with his header. James Craigen gave the home side a 55th-minute lead, volleying a stunning strike from 25 yards. Wighton notched Rovers a second just five minutes later as he headed home a well-crafted cross by Ryan McCord. Michael Chopra could have pulled one back for Alloa, instead firing over the bar before Mark Stewart grabbed a third for Raith five minutes from time, after Jason Thomson pulled the ball back at the byline.
