Denmark got their World Cup qualification campaign off to a winning start thanks to Christian Eriksen's first-half strike against Armenia in Copenhagen.
The Tottenham midfielder finished a superb move when he ran onto Viktor Fischer's backheel and arrowed a low shot across goalkeeper Arsen Beglaryan after 17 minutes.
Denmark dominated the game and would have won by more were it not for Beglaryan, who kept out a 72nd-minute Fischer penalty after the Middlesbrough summer signing had been felled by Hovhannes Hambartsumyan.
Armenia were without skipper Henrikh Mkhitaryan after he suffered an injury in the midweek friendly defeat to the Czech Republic.
