PSG v Lorient
PSG denied late penalty as Lorient take point at Parc des Princes
Paris Saint-Germain had a stoppage-time penalty ruled out by VAR as they dropped points in their bid to close out a fifth successive Ligue 1 title.
With their home game against Lorient tied at 2-2, the hosts were awarded a spot-kick in the fourth minute of time added on only for the decision to be overruled.
It meant Luis Enrique's much-changed side had to settle a point after they had twice squandered the lead.
Ibrahim Mbaye's early opener was quickly cancelled out by Pablo Pagis' strike before Aiyegun Tosin ruined the Parc Des Princes party when he hit back after Warren Zaïre-Emery had restored PSG's lead.
Their gap over Lens is now at seven points, which could be cut to four when the second-placed club visit Nice on Saturday evening.
It was clear that boss Luis Enrique's focus was on Wednesday's Champions League semifinal second leg at Bayern Munich as he made a raft of changes and his side suffered.
They did hit the goal frame three times but still have work to do if they want to seal what would be a 12th title success in 14 dominant years.
Despite the changes, PSG made a quick start as they took a sixth-minute lead.
Désiré Doué sent in a dangerous cross which Mbaye was brave to get to, poking in from close range.
But the visitors were level six minutes later as Panos Katseris' cross was perfect for Pagis to steer into the bottom corner.
PSG's response was good and they twice threatened as Bradley Barcola was just off target and then Doue also put a shot wide.
They were inches away from regaining the lead in the 34th minute as Lucas Hernández thumped a header from Senny Mayulu's cross into the crossbar.
Luis Enrique's men continued to press after the break as Doue had a shot saved and Mbaye had another effort blocked.
But the breakthrough came just after the hour when Zaire-Emery's low effort from a free-kick routine swerved past Lorient goalkeeper Yvon Mvogo.
The hosts would have been hoping the final 30 minutes would have been a procession but Lorient again hit back.
And it was a nightmare debut for 18-year-old Pierre Mounguengue as his loose pass sent Tosin through on goal and he did the rest, firing into the bottom corner.
PSG laid a late siege on the Lorient goal as Hernandez was denied by the goal frame for a second time, hitting a post with a header before Mayulu crashed a close-range effort into the structure.
It looked like they were going to win at the death when they were awarded a late penalty for handball but the decision was overturned, and it ended 2-2.
