Niagara wins regular-season finale 100-76
LEWISTON, N.Y. -- Kahlil Dukes scored 26 points and Niagara won its regular-season finale 100-76 over Marist on Friday night.
Niagara (19-12, 12-6) will finish third in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference either alone or tied with Iona.
Dukes was 11-of-21 shooting with three 3-pointers in posting his conference-leading 21st 20-point game this season. Marvin Prochet scored 14 points with 10 rebounds and Greg Kuakumensah and James Towns had 15 points each for Niagara, the conference's top-scoring team.
Dukes hit a 3-pointer at the end of the first half for a 46-43 lead and Niagara led the entire second half with a 29-6 run giving the Purple Eagles a 28-point lead.
Matt Scott, seventh on Niagara's all-time scoring list and averaging 19.5 points per game this season, sat out his third straight game because of a sprained right ankle.
Ryan Funk and Lasse Gummerus scored 13 points each to lead Marist.
