LORMAN, Miss. -- A.J. Mosby had 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range, and Dante Sterling scored 15 points to help Alcorn State beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 84-52 on Monday night.
Maurice Howard made four 3s, scored 14 points and had six assists, while Devon Brewer had 11 points and eight rebounds for Alcorn State (9-17, 5-8 Southwestern Athletic Conference).
Trent Steen's free throw gave UAPB (9-18, 9-4) a one-point lead with 6:23 left in the first half, but the Golden Lions went scoreless for nearly six minutes as Alcorn State scored the first 14 points during a 29-6 run that made it 52-30 when Howard hit a 3 with 16:46 to play.
