UTEP wins 72-65 against Jacksonville State
JACKSONVILLE, Ala. -- — Otis Frazier III had 24 points in UTEP's 72-65 win over Jacksonville State on Thursday night.
Frazier also contributed seven steals for the Miners (14-15, 5-9 Conference USA). Derick Hamilton scored 12 points while shooting 6 of 6 from the field. Zid Powell had 11 points and finished 4 of 6 from the field.
The Gamecocks (14-15, 6-8) were led by KyKy Tandy, who recorded 22 points and two steals. Quincy Clark added 16 points and two steals for Jacksonville State. In addition, Mason Nicholson had nine points and six rebounds.
UTEP took the lead for good with 14:10 left in the second half on a layup from Hamilton to make it 46-45.
