Rouzan helps Manhattan end long skid with 84-78 OT victory over Niagara
LEWISTON, N.Y. -- — Daniel Rouzan scored 10 of his 26 points in overtime to rally Manhattan to an 84-78 victory over Niagara on Sunday, snapping a 10-game losing streak for the Jaspers.
Rouzan had 13 rebounds for the Jaspers (5-13, 2-7 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference). Jaden Winston scored 16 points while going 5 of 8 from the floor, including 3 for 5 from 3-point range, and 3 for 4 from the line, and added seven rebounds and four steals. Shaquil Bender was 5 of 16 shooting, including 2 for 4 from 3-point range, and went 4 for 4 from the line to finish with 16 points.
Braxton Bayless led the way for the Purple Eagles (10-10, 6-4) with 21 points and two steals. Yaw Obeng-Mensah added 16 points for Niagara. Luke Bumbalough also had 14 points, four assists and three steals.
Rouzan also had a layup at the buzzer to send the game to overtime tied at 73.
