Mackinnon scores 26, Simpkins gets 25 as Elon defeats Delaware 73-67
ELON, N.C. -- — Max Mackinnon scored 26 points and TK Simpkins added 25 in Elon's 73-67 win against Delaware on Thursday night.
Mackinnon added five rebounds and three steals for the Phoenix (11-15, 4-9 Coastal Athletic Association). Simpkins was 8 of 16 from the floor, including 0 for 4 from 3-point range, and 9 for 12 from the line, and added six rebounds. Isaac Harrell finished 2 of 2 from the field to finish with eight points.
Gerald Drumgoole Jr. led the Fightin' Blue Hens (16-10, 8-5) in scoring, finishing with 24 points, five assists and two steals. Jyare Davis added 19 points and 11 rebounds for Delaware. In addition, Christian Ray had 10 points, 12 rebounds and two steals.
