HBCU 'Hunks': Howard basketball nets NIL deal

Howard University's men's basketball team has signed an NIL deal with moving company, College H.U.N.K.S. Hauling Junk, with each player to receive money up front plus opportunities to earn more through incentives.

Five-star senior Makur Maker announced his commitment to Howard on Friday morning, becoming the highest-ranked prospect to commit to a historically Black college or university since the ESPN recruiting database started in 2007.

John Crosby had 25 points as Delaware State defeated Howard 100-88 on Thursday night. Johquin Wiley and Ameer Bennett added 24 points each for the Hornets. Bennett also had seven rebounds.

Wayne Bristol Jr. scored 20 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Howard ended a 17-game skid with a 62-60 victory over Maryland-Eastern Shore on Monday night for its first Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference win of the season.
