Pardee scores 23, No. 20 WV women romp past Texas Tech 82-52
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- Katrina Pardee hit six 3-pointers and scored 23 points, Teana Muldrow moved into the top 10 in career scoring and No. 20 West Virginia rolled to an 82-52 win over Texas Tech on Wednesday night.
Pardee opened the scoring with a 3-pointer and had four of the six 3s in the first quarter for the Mountaineers (17-4, 5-4 Big 12), who took a 24-10 lead. Knocking down a season-high 13 3s on 24 attempts, West Virginia lead by 18 at the half.
Muldrow had 18 points, giving her 1,555 to move into the Mountaineers' top 10. She also had seven rebounds and four steals. Chania Ray had four 3s and 18 points and Naomi Davenport scored 14.
Erin Degrate had 20 points for Texas Tech (7-13, 1-8), which shot 55 percent but also committed 30 turnovers that led to 38 West Virginia points. The Mountaineers had 11 turnovers and 20 assists on 30 baskets.
