Commentary
Chelsea are just about good value for the lead, and certainly a superior xG of 1.57 to 0.44 highlights that they have carved out the better quality chances. Opta's live win probability gives Alonso's men a 73.1 per cent chance of victory from here, compared to 7.6 per cent for Fulham. Can the Cottagers upset the odds or are Chelsea going to see this out? Stick with us to find out, folks.
Brooks blows his whistle to bring an end to a mightily entertaining first half. So far, it's Alonso who is winning the battle of the new Spanish head coaches against his friend Arbeloa. It took just 31 seconds for Joao Pedro to clip Chelsea ahead, and flanked by Palmer and Rogers the Blues were really good value for the lead. But Fulham grew back into it, with King particularly impressive, and it was his drilled effort that brought Fulham level - albeit Sanchez really ought to have saved the shot. Chelsea came back again, though, and Rogers marked his debut with a goal after brilliant work from Lacroix.

There will be two minutes of additional time at the end of this first half.
CLOSE! Palmer has had a really strong half, and he picks the ball up in a dangerous spot just outside the penalty area. He shapes to shoot on his left, but bends just wide of the left-hand post.
The Chelsea fans are chanting Rogers' name, they've got a new hero in Blue. That's his second goal in five Premier League appearances against the Cottagers.
