LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- — Lamar Wilkerson scored 25 points as Sam Houston beat New Mexico State 79-58 on Thursday night.
Wilkerson was 8 of 12 shooting (7 for 8 from 3-point range) for the Bearkats (16-11, 9-3 Conference USA). Marcus Boykin was 3 of 8 shooting and 6 of 10 from the free throw line to add 13 points. Davon Barnes went 4 of 5 from the field to finish with 12 points.
The Aggies (11-16, 5-7) were led in scoring by Kaosi Ezeagu, who finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and two blocks. Christian Cook added 14 points for New Mexico State.
