LYNCHBURG, Va. -- — Kyle Rode had 18 points, Joseph Venzant scored 12 points and added 11 rebounds and Liberty beat Tennessee State 74-52 on Wednesday night.
Rode was 7-of-15 shooting (4 for 7 from 3-point range) for the Flames (8-3). Kaden Metheny shot 2 for 6 from beyond the arc and 4 of 4 from the free-throw line to finish with 10 points.
Christian Brown led the Tigers (6-5) in scoring, finishing with 16 points. Jaylen Jones added 11 points for Tennessee State. In addition, Kinyon Hodges finished with nine points and three steals.
