Mashburn, Toppin lead New Mexico past Fresno State 79-58
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- — Jamal Mashburn Jr. scored 19 points, JT Toppin had a double-double and New Mexico beat Fresno State 79-58 on Wednesday night.
Mashburn shot 5 for 13 (4 for 5 from 3-point range) and 5 of 6 from the free-throw line for the Lobos (22-8, 10-7 Mountain West Conference). Toppin finished with 15 points, 16 rebounds and three blocked shots. Nelly Junior Joseph scored 12 on 6-for-7 shooting.
The Bulldogs (11-19, 4-13), who have lost six in a row, were led by Xavier Dusell with 20 points. Isaiah Pope added 12 points and six rebounds. Jalen Weaver scored 10.
