Canisius rolls past Saint Peter's 73-58
JERSEY CITY, N.J. -- Isaiah Reese scored 15 points and Jermaine Crumpton and Jonathan Sanks had 14 each to lead Canisius to a 73-58 victory over Saint Peter's on Sunday.
Canisius (15-9, 9-2 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) built a 42-30 halftime lead behind 4-of-4 shooting behind the arc from Sanks. The Golden Griffins shot 52 percent in the half and made half of their 18 3-point attempts.
Canisius built the lead to a high of 27 points, 71-44, on a Malik Johnson bucket with 7:45 remaining.
Selvedin Planincic added 11 points and Takal Molson had 11 rebounds with eight points for Canisius, which remains alone in second in the MAAC, a half-game back of Rider (10-2) and a half-game ahead of Iona (9-3).
Mamadou Ndiaye was the only Peacocks (9-14, 3-9) player to score in double figures with 11.
