Ferrari team principal Maurizio Arrivabene says his team must fight for the title this year after finishing a distant second to Mercedes in 2015.

Ferrari launched its new car on Friday and with it set the target of challenging for its first constructors' title since 2008. The Italian team won three races last year but Arrivabene says it must up its game in 2016.

"Last year the objective was three victories and we got it, but this year we need to push a bit more and we at least want to fight until the end of the season for the championship," the team boss said.

"I know that is not going to be easy because our competitors are not sleeping at all and we have to look at what they are doing, but for sure we are all committed to do our best."

Technical director James Allison believes the team is now in a position where it can be "properly competitive".
