India's Manavjit Singh Sandhu and Kynan Chenai failed to qualify in the men's trap shooting event, finishing 16th and 19th respectively after the second qualifying round, at the Rio Olympics on Monday. The top six shooters made the semifinals.
Getting off to a promising start, Manavjit moved into eighth spot before slipping in the following round to finish with 115 points, to bring the curtains on his fourth Olympic campaign. Kynan ended with 114 points.
While the first leg of qualifying on Sunday had 33 shooters firing 75 shots over three series, the second round had them taking 50 shots over two series. Each series comprises 25 shots.
