5 Plus relaunched, to be known as One Sports

Filipino sports fans are sure to rejoice as the 5 Plus channel was rebranded to One Sports on Sunday.

The introduction of One Sports is a testament to TV5's commitment to make a wide variety of highly sought-after sporting events more accessible to more Filipinos.

"We're very excited to offer viewers the deepest library of sports content they love. One Sports aims to give Filipinos their one-stop, go-to sports channel available on free TV and cable operators nationwide," said TV5 and Cignal TV president Robert Galang.

Every sports enthusiast will be treated to a little bit of everything as One Sports becomes the home to a bevy of thrilling choices.

For hardcore basketball supporters, live games of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), as well as that of Gilas Pilipinas' exploits, will headline its hoops offering. Volleyball aficionados will also find One Sports as the go-to channel as it features the hustle and bustle of the Philippine Superliga (PSL) and Spikers' Turf.

Combat sports buffs won't miss out, too, as the channel is set to capture the drama that will unfold in UFC Fight Night and ONE Championship, as well as matches from international promoters like Golden Boy. Even followers of the National Football League (NFL), WWE and NCAA March Madness are part of the fun as One Sports extends their coverage to Filipinos.

"There's something for every sports fan in the family to enjoy, from the PBA, PSL, FIBA and Gilas Pilipinas games, UFC Fight Night, ONE Championship, the WWE and much more. We will continue to provide local sports fans the programs they know and love," added Galang.

Starting March 8, fans can access One Sports through channel 41 on free TV, channel 6 on Cignal TV and channel 59 on Sky Cable.
