Well on that note, it is a quite memorable wrap from us. Sri Lanka have pulled off a quite miraculous chase, one for the ages, and it's one that will sit in the pantheon of great cricketing nights. Of course this a tri-series and there's much more to play for, but for now Sri Lanka will rightly savour the moment, and hope that this is a catalyst for better times ahead. For now though, on behalf of Alan and the rest of the team, this is Madushka signing out.

Kusal Mendis: "Every match we did well I thought, bowled in good areas and did well in the first innings. We chased very well today, I enjoyed it as captain. Me and coach spoke to the batters and said to play the first couple of overs normally. Then we decided for Dasun to come earlier, but everybody showed their character. I'm very happy as a captain. Everyone believed we can do it. Everyday we talk about showing the character in team meetings, and it's about showing we can get any score."

Harry Brook: "Incredible game of cricket, both teams were exceptional. Sri Lanka just outplayed us. They played exceptional cricket to knock off 400. It was a nice innings but being on the losing side it has no value whatsoever in my eyes. We got to get back to the drawing board a little bit, and we have an opportunity in the next couple of games to nail down a place in the final."

Player of the Match goes to Pavan Ratnayake: "I'm very happy for our team, it's an important win. We thought it was a good wicket, backed our normal game. It was a good team effort. Every partnership was important."

Time for the presentation ceremony...

Uwaisul Karnain: "It is unbelievable how SL kept themselves on the game by keeping the required run rate manageable throughout their chase. Not sure how many times I'm going to watch the highlight package of this game!"

Ravi: "This is highest quality runchase, for comparison - england had 16 overs with 12 runs, and srilanka had only 9 such. But they kept the pace in much more methodical way"

Sudarshan KM : "Give any number of reasons - dew , chasing advantage etc 430 is just a himalayan score! Many congratulations to SL for defying all odds ! "

9.18pm: Pindi in a spin. The SL bench erupted when that six sailed over the rope. What a night for Sri Lanka who were given two chances - slim and none - at the start of their chase. But they've brought England back down to earth after Brook's heroics, thanks to a cast of contributors: Pavan Rathnayake, Avishka Fernando, Dasun Shanaka and Janith Liyanage at the end. They've also claimed the tri-series spoils, too! Two points on the board before the teams move on to Lahore.

Tongue to Liyanage, SIX, WINS IT WITH A SIX! Liyanage the Lankan hero! Gets under a full ball and powers it over long-off as SL nail the second-highest successful chase in ODI history! They were dead and buried after Harry Brook slammed a double-hundred earlier in the day, but they've knocked off the requirement with a ball to spare

Tongue to AM Fernando, 1 run, slashed away, spins in front of deep third... just a single, but it brings Liyanage back on strike!
