11:42pm That will be all from us for tonight. We will be back tomorrow with more IPL action. Until then, it is goodbye from all of us here tat ESPNcricinfo. Goodnight, stay safe and take care, folks!

Praful Hinge, Player of the Match: I had written this somewhere that I will take 4-5 wickets on my debut. I thought of dominating the powerplay. I believe in it (manifestation). At the age of 13, I started cricket. Did not know what leather ball cricket was. Asked my father to join a club. But he said I was too young. Then he just took me there, and I kept playing after it. Want to dedicate this award to my family. (On his favourite wicket) The Sooryavanshi wicket. I had told people that I would bowl a bouncer to him and get him out. I just wanted to get him out. Varun bhai (our bowling coach) helped me plan it, so thank you. (On his body) Right now, it is okay. I want to say thank you to MRF (Pace Foundation). Naveen sir was there and I want to thank him now that I am on this stage.

Ishan Kishan, SRH captain: Very happy with this win. Just felt happy because what we were looking for from the bowlers (freedom in execution), we did that. Credit goes to the bowlers. (On the debutants) You also have to look how hungry and motivated they feel. They were working throughout the season with bowling coach Varun Aaron. They were talking to experienced players. Had to give them a chance at their home ground. It was the right move today. The way Abhishek plays, he can sometimes get out. Our job is to take it deep and allow him to play freely. He got out, he will be motivated in the next game. (On not keeping) As a captain, there was some miscommunication going on. Better to be there, ask what they (bowlers) are going to bowl, and set the fields. And it worked (tonight). (On if him not keeping this IPL is the way to go) Hopefully.

Riyan Parag, RR captain: (On the top order collapse) Not a lot of time to feel emotions. Credit to the way they bowled. Few miscalculations from us. (On the pitch) It was pretty good. Felt bowling second might have been better. It was sticky with the new ball. After the shine went, it slowed down. But again, that is hindsight and we could have batted better. (On Hinge and Sakib) I have not seen them a lot domestically. Played Sakib (when playing for Assam versus Bihar) once. They bowled beautifully. The pressure they had, with the home crowd chanting their name, the way they bowled - it was beautiful. (What they could have done differently in the first innings and the decision to not bowl Jadeja) Started well, probably could have done a few things here and there. Split second decision, Kishan was batting well, so trusted Bishnoi (over Jadeja). They were 30 over par. Being five wickets down for nine, and still getting to 160, says a lot about the depth. It is just a blip. We move ahead to Kolkata and something better.

Sakib Hussain: Every player wishes for a debut like this. It feels very nice. (On when he knew he would debut and his prep) The bowling coach, a day ago, told me I was playing and I was prepared. (On his work with Varun Aaron) He has been working with me in last 3-4 matches. All the improvements that have happened, it is due to him. (On how he was feeling during the first few overs) We were feeling very good - for all of this to happen in a debut match.

11:18pm A clinical display by the hosts, led and turbocharged by the two debutants, Hinge and Sakib. Hinge broke the back of this run-chase inside his first over, removing each of Sooryavanshi, Jurel and Pretorius. He returned for more, and got the better of Parag too. Sakib, while the carnage was unfolding at the other end, enticed Jaiswal into a false stroke in the second over, and garnished his spell with three more wickets at the death.

A night to forget for the Royals. They stuck to their philosophy of going hard, but crashed and burned in the process. They will likely put this down as an off-day, although the challenge for them now will be to recover and bounce back, especially with their spotless record now punctured.

Malinga to Deshpande, OUT, sliced to extra cover, and that will be that for the RR juggernaut! The streak has been broken, and two unheralded, uncapped debutants have brought the Royals crashing down to earth! Full toss on middle and leg. Deshpande has a swing at it and does not get any of it. Kishan is stationed at extra cover to complete the formality, and that is confirmation of a statement win for SRH in front of their fans!
