6.25pm: Well played the Seaxes! They were in strife with the bat at 71 for 5, only for Ryan Higgins to dig them out of trouble and put a score on the board. Even then, Leicestershire were still favourities, needing only to go at 4.5 an over - but Toby Roland-Jones led the way up top with the ball, and then Tom Helm did the job at the death as Nick Kelly's hundred went in vain. He lacked support, with 16 from Rishi Patel the next-highest score
Here's Toby Roland-Jones talking to Sky: "Obviously [means] a huge amount, we've played some amazing cricket throughout the tournament. Today was a perfect picture of how we've done - at times in the ascendancy and at times down and out. [Higgins and Duke] got us to a total that we felt was competitive and it proved so. [Bowling all ten up front] Harder to field the overs now, that's for sure. I've done it before. We've got guys at the end who are better placed to finish the game off. The most exciting thing is we've got five guys under 20 in this squad. Naavya Sharma bowled outstandingly well, such an exciting talent. It keeps me young. Fingers crossed I'll keep going. It's been a long time coming for Middlesex."
A low-scoring thriller to close out the white-ball season. Middlesex, who've been through the mill with administrative issues, claim their first List A trophy since winning the 1992 Sunday League. Anyway, thanks for joining us, we'll have more on the site soon and then it's on to the final week of the County Championship with more pots up for grabs. Bye!
