11:15pm That will be a wrap from us for today. We will be back with more cricket tomorrow and until then, from all of us here at ESPNcricinfo, it is goodbye!

Fakhar Zaman has been named the Player of the Match. He says that the pitch was not easy to bat on and that he and Naeem relayed that message to the dressing room. He also speaks glowingly about Naeem, adding that he is a special talent.

Labuschagne, the Kingsmen skipper, says that they could not get any partnerships going. It was their first time out on the park in the PSL and there are lots of lessons to learn too. Shaheen, his opposite number, says the team has been together for a week and that they have had a good time. He notes that Mustafizur and himself started out at the same time for the Qalandars and are back together now. When asked about his side's bowling display. he says the idea was to keep taking wickets and to build pressure.

10:57pm A comfortable opening-night win for the defending champions, who flexed their muscles and, in the process, showed the Kingsmen that there is very little margin for error in this league. The Kingsmen did not get off to the greatest of starts and fell behind in the powerplay itself, having not been helped by their big-money buy's iffy shot selection.

And once Raza was brought on and the squeeze was applied through the middle, the Kingsmen quickly ran out of steam. Raza was excellent throughout, as was Rauf. Shaheen and Ubaid's opening spell was also incisive and the Qalandars will take plenty of confidence from their bowling display, especially because it seems to be a strength of theirs.

Mustafizur Rahman to Meredith, OUT, back of a length ball, slower one too. Tries to club this out of Lahore but ends up getting an inside edge to short fine. Ali calls for a very risky run, fielder swoops in and cracks at the stumps. Short by quite some distance, and that sums up what was a nervy initiation to the PSL for the Kingsmen!
