21:50 GMT:Real Madrid have agreed a deal to sign goalkeeper Diego Lopez from Sevilla on a four-and-a-half year contract. Madrid swooped for the 31-year-old Lopez, a former player at the Bernabeu, following confirmation today that Iker Casillas could be out for up to three months with a hand injury.
A statement on Real Madrid's website read: "Real Madrid and Sevilla have reached an agreement for the transfer of Diego Lopez, who will join the club
until the end of the 2016/17 season."

QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar could be set to make an emphatic move from the doldrums of the Premier League to the heights of Europe, with rumours in the Daily Mail suggesting the Brazilian has become the frontrunner to replace Real Madrid's wantaway No. 1 Iker Casillas. Casillas was ruled out for up to two months after suffering a broken hand in Real's Copa del Rey draw with Valencia on Wednesday and has recently expressed his desire to leave the Bernabeu at the end of his contract. It is believed Jose Mourinho could turn to Cesar as a quick fix solution for Real as they prepare for the crucial Champions League fixtures against Manchester United, although a deal would be dependent on Rangers finding a replacement 'keeper. It would be a sensational move for Cesar, although his experience of playing under Mourinho at Inter would allow him to settle into La Liga.
Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has turned heads for more reasons than one with his request to sign Swansea defender Ashley Williams, the Sun says. Rodgers promised not to raid his former club after recruiting midfielder Joe Allen at Anfield, but he is hoping an £8 million offer is enough to lure Williams to the Reds. But any move for the defender would be heavily scrutinised given Williams's history with Liverpool striker Luis Suarez. Williams claimed in his book My Premier League Diary that he wanted to 'knock out' Suarez and labelled the Uruguayan a 'serial diver'. Although Rodgers claims there is no tension between the two players, it could be a driving factor in Williams' decision to leave Swansea.
Over to the Mirror now and it is reported Fabricio Coloccini could soon pledge his immediate future to Newcastle - albeit against his will. Coloccini requested a move back to Argentina for personal reasons, but the club's defensive struggles have forced them to reject the 31-year-old's pleas. According to reports, the Toon have threatened to sue Coloccini for as much as £7m if he ends his contract at St James' Park early. The hefty sum is to compensate the Argentine's release clause and the Magpies have given him the ultimatum to buy his way out of his contract or remain at Newcastle for the rest of the season.
