Arjun Atwal and Anirban Lahiri repeated their first round scores of 1-under 70 and level-par 71, respectively, on day two of the PGA Tour Quicken Loans National on Friday, and it was just enough for both of them to make the cut at the Congressional Country Club in Maryland.

Overnight leader Jon Rahm of Spain -- who only turned pro this Monday -- continued to hold the lead with 11-under 131, though he now shares it with American Billy Hurley III.

Teeing off from the 10th, Atwal's first nine holes were marred only by a bogey on the 523-yard par-four 18th. He registered successive birdies on the 402-yard par-four 1st and the 233-yard par-three 2nd, before a bogey on the 466-yard par-four 3rd brought him back to level-par for the day. He then played five successive error-free holes, before signing off with a birdie on the 636-yard par-five 9th, to take his overall score to 2-under 140.

Lahiri began his second round with a birdie on the 218-yard par-three 10th, but then dropped one shot each on the 18th, 2nd and the 7th holes. He revived his campaign with successive birdies on the 354-yard par-four 8th and the par-five 9th to sign off for the day, ending his 36 holes with level-par 142.

The last birdie was crucial since play had resumed after a holdup due to inclement weather and some players allowed errors to creep in to their game, ensuring the cut was set at even-par -- allowing Lahiri to just make it.

Lahiri will now tee off for his third round at 8.22am local time (5.52pm IST) and Atwal at 10.55am local (8.25pm IST) on Saturday.
