Penrith's NRL premiership win will be more than just a football memory for Panthers winger Brian To'o and partner Moesha Fuifui.
Moments after the Panthers' heart-stopping 14-12 win over South Sydney at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday, To'o went to where his partner was sitting in the crowd before getting on one knee and proposing.
In a double win for the NSW State of Origin star, a thrilled Moesha said yes and gleefully accepted the ring To'o proffered.
"I thought that he was coming to give me a hug like he usually does," Moesha told the Nine Network.
"I wasn't expecting that at all."
To'o has often made reference to how important a role his partner has played in his career.
The 23-year-old defied an ongoing ankle issue to played a starring role in the Panthers' victory, picking up 235 metres in a typically hard-running contribution.
To'o said the win and proposal capped a year he will never forget.
"I'm just really speechless ... because of the year that I have had, especially with Origin," he said.
"Also just finishing off the year with the grand final ring.
"It is a special moment to have not only with my partner and my family in lockdown. Really happy."
