Utah Jazz guard Ace Bailey left Friday night's game against the Detroit Pistons in the first half because of a left hip strain and did not return for the second half.
Bailey was scoreless in 11 minutes as the Jazz beat the Pistons 131-129.
He was ruled out for Saturday's game against the San Antonio Spurs.
The No. 5 pick in this year's draft came into the game averaging 10.7 points. The 6-foot-9 guard had reached double figures in four straight games and has often been on the court during crunch time for the Jazz.
Brice Sensabaugh started the second half in Bailey's spot and equaled his season high of 20 points.
Keyonte George scored 31 points and hit a floater in the lane with 2.1 seconds remaining as Utah snapped a four-game losing streak.
