Orlovsky: Criticism of Jalen Hurts at training camp is 'outrageous' (1:07)

PHILADELPHIA -- The 11th day of Eagles training camp was defined by a fight between defensive tackle Moro Ojomo and offensive tackle Fred Johnson that could have resulted in injury.

The dust-up started during team drills Thursday when Ojomo took exception to a late shove by Johnson and squared up, looking ready to fight. The coaches decided to keep both players in for the next play.

Tempers flared as Johnson blocked Ojomo to the ground and then landed on him with his full weight. Punches were thrown before the two separated.

Moments later, Ojomo found his way through a crowd and dove at Johnson's knees, bringing the 6-foot-7, 326-pound Johnson to the ground.

Players and staff jumped in to separate the two. General manager Howie Roseman, coach Nick Sirianni and chief security officer Dom DiSandro gathered around an animated Johnson to help calm him down.

Roseman also met with Ojomo before talking further with Johnson post-practice for about five minutes as the offensive lineman sat on blocking pads.

Team drills were halted after the fight and, after a group huddle to reset, the Eagles finished with a less competitive developmental period.

This was the last practice before the Eagles' preseason opener against the Baltimore Ravens.

"I'm just so excited to see all the guys compete. At the end of the day, this business is for people that are ultracompetitive," Sirianni said before Thursday's session. "And it's always good to go against somebody else. Sometimes at this point of camp, you're like, 'Man, I just want to hit somebody else and go against somebody else.'"
