SEATTLE -- A co-defendant of Terrion Arnold has been sentenced to 10 years in Florida State Prison after pleading guilty to his role in the robbery and kidnapping case that also involves the Seattle Seahawks cornerback, the Hillsborough County State Attorney's Office announced Monday.
According to the announcement, the plea requires Boakai Hilton "to testify truthfully in any future proceedings related to the case." Hilton pleaded guilty to three counts of kidnapping, three counts of robbery with a firearm, conspiracy to commit kidnapping and conspiracy to commit robbery with a firearm.
Asked Monday if he has any more information about Arnold's situation in light of the development in his case, Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said he did not. Arnold remains on the commissioner exempt list, which allows him to attend team meetings and train at Seahawks headquarters but not practice or play in games. Arnold is paid while on the exempt list.
The Seahawks agreed to a one-year, minimum-salary deal with Arnold in August. The Detroit Lions released him in June, a week after the 2024 first-round pick was arrested on eight felony charges in connection with an incident in Tampa in February.
Investigators say Arnold, Hilton and five others lured three men to a Tampa apartment, where the alleged victims were robbed at gunpoint, beaten and held for more than an hour. Arnold is accused of orchestrating the plan after prosecutors say he wrongfully suspected the three men of stealing $100,000 in cash from him at an Airbnb, along with luxury watches and bags.
Two of the other co-defendants previously pleaded guilty.
Arnold has pleaded not guilty, and, through his representatives, he has denied the allegations. He is facing four counts of kidnapping and four counts of armed robbery, which carry a potential sentence of life in prison. No trial date has been set.
