LANDOVER, Md. -- Los Angeles Rams star receiver Puka Nacua injured his knee on the team's final offensive snap in Sunday's victory over the Washington Commanders, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter and NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
Nacua will undergo an MRI on Monday to determine the extent of the injury, the sources said, but the team's initial belief is that he did not suffer a torn ACL.
The injury happened on third down, when Nacua rushed for 5 yards. Nacua took a hard hit on the play and briefly stayed on the ground before walking off the field.
Nacua was not asked about the knee injury after the game. He was asked about his trip to the blue medical tent in the third quarter and said he was checked for a concussion but was cleared.
Nacua had 14 catches for 150 yards and a touchdown in the win. He was targeted 19 times by quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Nacua's 25 receptions over the last two games are the second-most by a Rams player in the Super Bowl era, according to ESPN Research. In the two-game span, the next-closest Rams players in terms of receptions are Tutu Atwell, Colby Parkinson and Kyren Williams with four each.
It was Nacua's ninth career regular-season game with at least 150 receiving yards, breaking a tie with Jerry Rice and Randy Moss for the second-most by a player within his first four seasons since the 1970 merger.
