A Division One victory for Coventry over Rotherham has been overturned following a complaint by the Yorkshire side over the use of uncontested scrums.
Coventry beat Rotherham 22-15 on October 23 in a game in which uncontested scrums were brought in for the final 20 minutes.
Referee Nigel Higginson ordered uncontested scrums after Coventry ran out of front row replacements when hooker Dave Addleton was replaced for an injury.
This came after Coventry backrow Dan Farini was sent off for a high tackle early in the second half.
Rotherham later protested and First Division Rugby (FDR)and they have now been awarded the win.
An FDR statement said: "Executive Director, Geoff Cooke, has considered the evidence in statements from the referee and officials of Coventry and Rotherham and has determined that there was a breach of RFU Principal Regulation 11.4 and accordingly Coventry are deemed to have lost the match."
"There is a right of appeal in accordance with the FDR Regulations and no action will be taken nor will there be any further comment from FDR Ltd until the outcome of any such appeal is determined."
Coventry can appeal but if they loose or choose not to Rotherham's 100 per cent start to the season will be retained.
