Wallabies make one change for Bledisloe I, Suaalii stays on wing

This is Wallabies' best chance to end Eden Park hoodoo (1:16)

Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii will look to build on his impressive first Test start on the wing, after he was retained in the No. 11 jersey for the Wallabies' opening Bledisloe Cup clash in Auckland.

Suaalii will start in the same back three that had a stellar night in Australia's 42-38 win over the Springboks in Perth, with Max Jorgensen and Tom Wright also included.

The only change to the Wallabies' run-on side comes in the midfield, with Isaac Henry replacing the suspended Hunter Paisami, a move that has pushed Len Ikitau into the No. 12 jersey.

Ikitau had been under a fitness cloud after he was forced off against the Springboks, but the star centre and reigning John Eales Medallist has overcome that ankle injury to take his place in Auckland.

Australia otherwise run out onto Eden Park, where they haven't won since 1986, as they did at Optus Stadium where they notched a fifth win in six Tests.

"It's not just another game," Kiss said.

"It's a big game... we're going to have to be good, to go out there and put something on to compete.

"This is a team that can step forward and see how close we can take it.

"Things are thrown out (that) 'it's got to happen eventually'. But it doesn't just happen."

Kiss has however made further changes on the bench, with Massimo De Lutiis and Nick Champion De Crespigny replacing Taniela Tupou and Tom Hooper respectively, after the duo returned to their European clubs. Josh Nasser has also been preferred over Billy Pollard at hooker.

Declan Meredith also returns on the bench, with Wallabies coach Les Kiss opting for a more traditional 5-3 forwards-backs split among his replacements.
