Unrivaled will expand tour stops in its third season, part of the 3-on-3 league's plans to become "even bigger and better" after almost doubling its valuation from last year, president Alex Bazzell said.
Last season, Unrivaled played in Philadelphia, marking its first game outside of its Miami home base, and set a women's basketball attendance record for Xfinity Mobile Arena. The league hosted its semifinal playoff games at Brooklyn's Barclays Center.
Next season, Unrivaled will play in four times as many "road" venues all across the country, Bazzell told ESPN. The season, which tips off in January, will open on the road and hold playoff games on the road in bigger venues.
"I'm a big believer in staying ahead of the curve, staying aggressive, and nothing is off the table," Bazzell said. "Whether that's format, cities, where we go next or who we sign. We want to make sure we are making sound, long-term decisions."
The league announced Wednesday that Unrivaled has been valued at $650 million -- up from $340 million in 2025 -- following a Series C funding round led by Ten Pillars Sports Fund, which surpassed an initial $100 million target. The round included investments from Carmelo Anthony, Geno Auriemma, Ashton Kutcher, Alex Morgan and Trae Young.
League revenue was estimated at $45 million in Year 2, up from $27 million in Unrivaled's inaugural season. According to a statement from the league, the player equity pool -- which provides participating players with equity opportunities -- has increased by more than 550% since the league's inaugural season in 2024, now worth close to $200 million.
Roster sizes will remain the same in 2027, and no new clubs will be added, according to the league. Last year, the league grew from six to eight teams.
The league also said more than 75% of players who participated in Unrivaled last season are signed to multiyear deals and will return in Year 3. Unrivaled has signed 95% of its rosters for 2027 and will begin making player announcements this month.
