Atlanta Dream guard Allisha Gray is listed as questionable because of a finger injury ahead of Friday's Game 3 of the semifinals against the New York Liberty, the Dream said Thursday.
Gray, Atlanta's top scorer, missed Game 2 on Wednesday after suffering the injury in Game 1, during which she played only 11 minutes.
Atlanta is up 2-0 vs. the Liberty in the best-of-five series after a 101-98 overtime win in Game 2. No team has come back to win a series after going down 2-0 in WNBA playoff history.
Gray, a 6-foot guard and four-time All-Star out of South Carolina, averaged 19.0 points, 3.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.4 steals this year while appearing in all 44 regular-season games. She was also the Dream's top scorer (22.0 PPG) during their first-round sweep of the No. 5 seed Washington Mystics as Atlanta secured its first semifinals berth since 2018.
Gray exited Sunday's 92-82 Game 1 win at the end of the first quarter because of an injury to her left, shooting hand before returning in the second quarter and then reinjuring it. She was on the bench with the team Wednesday with a brace on her hand for the Game 2 win over New York.
"Nobody's going to try to be Lish because, I mean, there's only one Lish," Atlanta coach Karl Smesko said Tuesday. "Lish is one of the best players in the league. She's an exceptional scorer, and she's an excellent defender. So being without her for a game is tough, but we have players that are ready to step up."
Six players for the Dream scored in double figures in Game 2, led by 23 apiece from Jordin Canada and Angel Reese. Though Atlanta's depth hasn't been its strong suit this season, Isobel Borlase also came through with 11 points off the bench.
Atlanta is one win from advancing to its first WNBA Finals since 2013.
